Meet Our Coaching Team

Alex

CEO

My passion for health & fitness began after college. I was an athlete & swam for a D1 university - but, I was always more worried about my performance than my actual health.

After school, I was quickly “welcomed” to real life without a coach & needless to say, I gained some weight, was not happy with my body, & missed competing greatly! 😔

I found my competition fix through CrossFit, started eating healthier, & began to turn my life around. But I could tell that the sport itself was slowly wearing on my body.

So, I joined a typical gym & started to get into the groove. This LIT MY FIRE for learning more & more about healthy living! 💪

Head Assistant Coach

In college I decided to take my health seriously and began eating better and exercising! My lack of education in nutrition combined with a bad break-up had me severely under-eating, over-exercising, hormones out of whack and my mental health spiraling.

My journey to be healthier was actually making me LESS healthy. That’s when I decided to hire my first coach! This CHANGED MY LIFE as I began to alter my mindset around health and fitness. I was honoring (not punishing) my body with the proper amount of food and focusing on strength based workouts.

Throughout this process I had gotten my bachelors degree in exercise science and went on to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. I was helping people prevent or recover from injuries, surgeries, strokes, etc. and getting people to walk again, play sports again, dance again. I loved that career…. But I learned I loved coaching more 🤩 I am now able to combine my knowledge and love for the human body, nutrition, and physical therapy to help others tap into their potential to find their version of healthy...because IT’S NOT ONE SIZE FITS ALL 💛

Lydia

Assistant Coach

My fitness journey was born out of a toxic relationship with food and a need for change. I thought the key to weight loss was extreme caloric restriction and hours of cardio. After years of limiting food and spending excessive amounts of time in the gym I was the heaviest I had been and exhausted. That is when I began researching macro tracking and less restrictive forms of dieting.

As I got deeper and deeper into it, I began to realize I could not do this on my own and needed guidance and accountability. I then found an online coach to guide me through this process. Through that coach, I began to repair my relationship with food and learned the importance of fueling my body.

I fell in love with this process, and after competing in my first bodybuilding competition I decided that I wanted to help others repair their relationship with food. A few months after I began pursuing this as a career I met Alex brown and became her very first assistant coach for Strength in Harmony. ♥

Alli

Assistant Coach

I have always been super active, I played sports from a very young age after growing up in a family of 4 who lived and breathed sports. I played Soccer competitively for 18 years. I was supposed to go to Sweden to represent Team Canada for soccer, and I was planning to go to university to play.

But when I was 16, I got my first concussion, and from there I endured 8 more concussions over the course of 3 years, 2 being major and 6 minor. After the last concussion, my parents took me to see a psychologist who told me I had to stop playing sports.

In 2013, I joined a gym. I had no idea what to do so I spent hours on cardio machines. I was solely focused on being the smallest version of myself.

Eventually, I hired a personal trainer because I realized that being STRONG was more important & empowering to me than being skinny.

That got me hooked on resistance training, and I went on to try tons of different influencer programs & cookie cutter diets… but I still struggled to find a program that made sense for ME.

That’s when I finally decided to take matters into my own hands & learn HOW to build my own approach. This is when I began seeing results. I started to see my body change, & I was truly happier.

That was when I knew I wanted to be a personal trainer. I started taking courses and learning everything I could about fitness, nutrition and mindset.

I know now I am truly meant to be a coach. And I am so lucky I get to help others lose inches, and heal their relationships with food. I love helping others learn how to eat without restriction, and help them feel good in their skin again to create a lasting lifestyle change.

Assistant Coach

I have always been passionate about health and fitness, as I played sports for most of my childhood! Softball and volleyball played a significant role in the career path I set out for. In my senior year of high school, I started diving deep into nutrition and workouts and learning everything I could about health and fitness. From there, I studied Kinesiology with a concentration in Applied Exercise Science at Sam Houston State University! Eat em’ up cats!! I became a certified personal trainer at Sam Houston and began to teach clients and group fitness classes! I started working for boutique gyms, teaching classes and training clients while earning my teacher certificate! I wanted to become a P.E. coach; however, those positions are few and far between, so I decided to teach kindergarten and first grade. I continued to train clients in person and taught group fitness after becoming a teacher.

While completing all of this, I was on my fitness journey, hired my first online coach, and began to heal my body from years of birth control, hormone imbalances, and gut issues. I knew shifting to online coaching would be the move as I could reach many more women struggling in their fitness journeys! So, about 2 ½ years ago, I began my journey as an online fitness and nutrition coach and knew this was what I was meant to do!

During this time, I met my now-husband, who is my biggest fan, and we are about to welcome our first baby girl to the world in June!

I am so excited to embark on this new journey of motherhood while also helping women and mamas online full-time, as my time as an educator has ended!

Cheers to following dreams and being passionate about helping women feel good in their bodies!!
